Welcome to Peru! You’ll be picked up at the airport before transferring to Pisac (~1 hour). Explore Pisac Market on your own or rest up and adjust to the high altitude (11,000 ft) before we meet for dinner and cheers to the adventure to come!

Today you will transfer from Ollantaytambo to Cusco. On the way you'll visit several Incan sites along the way. You'll start by visiting the ancient archaeological site of Moray! Next it’s off to the Inca Salt Mines. Finally visiting the Chinchero village. Later the group will drive to Cusco to stay overnight.

You'll start today by visiting the ancient archaeological site of Moray! Here, the Incans built large agricultural terraces that served as early prototypes for greenhouse and biological experimentation.

Inca Salt Mines
Next stop on your way to Cusco, is the Inca Salt Mines. Composed of over 400 small pools, people still extract salt here using the same traditional methods as they did 500 years ago.

Today you’ll get your legs moving on a full day hike to Humantay Lake and Chonta Viewpoint! The gorgeous views of the blue lake (and the elevation) are sure to get your heart pumping. This is also a great spot to look for the massive Andean Condor! If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see these winged giants in flight. Enjoy some lunch to refuel from the trek before making your way back to Cusco.

Humantay Lake Hike
Today you’ll get your legs moving on a full day hike to Humantay Lake and Chonta Viewpoint! The gorgeous views of the blue lake (and the elevation) are sure to get your heart pumping. Time to hit the trails again on a full day hike to Waqrapucara! This hike will take you up rugged terrain until you reach the unique site of Waqrapucara. Keep an eye out for wildlife as you hike up and then enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site at the top! After free time to snap some pictures and explore, you’ll hike back down to the town of Huayqui. After the hike, you will transfer to your next hotel in Cusipata for the night.

Early bird gets the view! Today you’ll hike to the epic saddle of Rainbow Mountain for views of the colorful, natural formation. The elevation is steep, but if you go your pace, all levels can make it to the top to bask in this natural wonder. Catch some zzz's in the car as you make your way back to Cusco. Once you settle into your hotel, meet up with the crew for your farewell dinner where you can cheers to all the trail memories and friends you’ve made.
