Wake up and enjoy your first full day exploring Patagonia with your group. Begin with a boat ride between the massive icebergs, followed by a glacial walk across the ice field.

5 HOURS
Experience an unforgettable adventure in the ice world of Patagonia by exploring the iconic UNESCO World Heritage site, Perito Moreno Glacier. After a boat ride between the towering icebergs, spotting the ice that loudly cracks and breaks off into the icy blue lake, you’ll set foot on the opposite shore and ascend over the ice. This 2-hour moderate circuit on the ice will reveal a fascinating glacial landscape, of varied shades of blue in the streams, small lagoons, crevasses and natural ice formations.

You're off to El Chaltén with a stop along the way for food, before meeting your trekking Guide for the day.

Today you'll hike Cerro Torre or Mirador de Los Cóndores y Águilas (based on Guide recommendations and weather). From this viewpoint, you will be able to see the best panoramic views of the entire valley, whose hills and granite needles surround the town and De Las Vueltas river. Distance: 4 miles / Duration: 2-4 hours/ Difficulty: Easy
Overnight in El Chaltén.
It’s time to climb! Your climbing Guide will evaluate your experience and provide the equipment needed before you head out to the first climbing site. In the next two days, you will practice on different routes and the difficulty will be dependent on the experience of the group.

El Chalten is the center of Patagonian mountaineering and rock climbing, with hundreds of routes ranging from a relaxed easy climb to the more challenging, for the seasoned rock climber. Regardless of the climbing route, El Chalten with its iconic views of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, is said to be every climber’s dream. The Guide will start the day with a review and safety check of the gear followed by an introduction to the climbing area. A series of routes will be chosen each day, with the technical level increasing to refine different techniques and concepts throughout the course. With 8 hours each day of practice on different pitches, you will develop skills such as concept and types of climbing, knowledge and management of technical equipment, knots, the basic technique of rock progression, top-rope climbing, and how to secure protection.
Overnight in El Chaltén.
Enjoy a second full day of climbing! The day will have the same structure as Day 4.

Rise and shine! It's time for a big day of hiking. Today you will tackle the Laguna de Los Tres hike—the highlight of El Chaltén.

10 HOURS
This hike will take you across the Del Salto Stream and its icy blue water, where the surrounding orange rocks create a picturesque foreground to Mount Fitz Roy. The trail finishes at the ridge of the rocky De Los Tres Glacier—an enormous natural arch containing the clear blue water of the lagoon and magnificent views. This is the closest and most extraordinary view of the granite wall of Mount Fitz Roy and surrounding peaks. Distance: 16 miles / Duration: 8-9 hours / Difficulty: Moderate-difficult / Elevation Gain: 2,300 feet. Please note: All hikes are subject to change due to weather.

It's time to say goodbye to El Chaltén and return to El Calafate. Back at your hotel, the rest of the day will be at your leisure to do some last-minute souvenir shopping or just hang back and relax.
