Today, on your visit to Mari Mari village you will gain an insight into the life of the Dayak people, 5 separate indigenous tribes of Borneo and Sabah who live and work together in the Mari Mari village.
Breakfast at the hotel is included.
You’ll meet the hill tribesmen of Mari Mari village, where you will tour some of the homes to get a feel of local village life and sample homemade rice wine and snacks.

Today you will leave the city behind and discover Borneo's wild side. In the morning you will go on a white water rafting adventure of the Kiulu River, followed by a visit to Kiau village for a homestay.

After a safety briefing with the local rafting Guides, you’ll put on a life jacket and helmet to paddle down the beautiful Kiulu River.
At Kiau village you’ll meet your hosts for a family homestay, where you’ll experience rural Bornean life and visit a pineapple farm and factory.

Today you will begin your trek up to Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Borneo. With Langanan waterfall, one of Sabah’s largest waterfalls, as well as its tropical rainforests and more than 6,000 plant species, Mount Kinabalu is listed as one of the world’s most important biological sites.

Today is the first leg up South East Asia’s highest peak, Mount Kinabalu! Leaving from the trailhead at Timpohon Gate, this strenuous 4-5 hour climb takes you through tropical rainforest and alpine meadows, up steep narrow steps and well worn pathways, increasing in difficulty as you make your way up the trail. The unique and colorful flora and breathtaking panoramic views will make this journey so rewarding.

Overnight on Mount Kinabalu.
Today is summit day on Mount Kinabalu. Once off the mountain, you’ll have the rest of the day at leisure in Kundasang.

It’s an early start this morning to experience daybreak at 13,435ft., the summit of Mount Kinabalu, where you’ll be rewarded with a golden sunrise over the canopies and hilltops of Kinabalu National Park.

Today you will travel to the Kinabatangan River for a cruise. This river trip will take you into the tropical rainforest and between lush mangroves, where you’ll be treated to a wide variety of wildlife, marine animals and birds. In the evening you will stay at a jungle nature lodge.

Your scenic cruise along the Kinabatangan River, will reveal an incredible array of life under the trees. Because of the diverse terrain, this area is home to many different species of wildlife, including orangutans and Bornean pygmy elephants; Irrawaddy dolphins and freshwater sharks inhabiting the river and many unique and colorful species of birdlife.

Overnight in Sukau
Another full day of exploring and today your cruise will take you even further up the Kinabatangan River and onto Kelenanap Ox-Bow Lake and will include a jungle walk.

Wake up to the call of the wild and board your riverboat in search of wild orangutans, pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, monitor lizards and much more. This protected area is the largest wetland in Malaysia and is not only home to many species of endangered wildlife, it also contains 60% of Malaysia’s remaining mangrove forests.

Overnight in Sukau
Today you will visit the Sepilok Orangutan Conservation Centre, a safe haven for orangutans, who were orphaned due to illegal hunting, or captured and kept as pets. This will be followed by a visit to the Sun Bear Rescue Conservation Centre, where the welfare and rehabilitation of the Malayan sun bear, previously endangered as a result of illegal hunting and deforestation, are now allowed to roam free in their protected environment.

The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1964, to rescue and rehabilitate baby orangutans. These endangered apes live in semi-wild conditions, where during the summer months, they are able to feed themselves from their natural surroundings close to the Kabili Rainforest.
The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre is a research facility for the rehabilitation of the endangered Bornean Sun Bear, the world’s smallest bear. These bears are threatened by deforestation and illegal hunting and the Sun Bear Conservation Centre is raising public awareness of these beautiful creatures.

All good things must come to an end! You'll transfer to the airport and bid farewell for now.
